Assisted Living Environment

We are applying active monitoring algorithms in the context of elderly care in an Alzheimer clinic. We've developed applications to interact with the patient in order to assist her in him/her health related routines and with relatives and/or medical personnel to report any incident that needs to be addressed. This also involves design and implementation of both efficient human-machine interfaces to be used by patients and other relevant persons.

Another important task is to obtain all relevant information that may help increase the performance of the applications to be developed from patients, their relatives, doctors, nurses and other related medical personnel. Such an effort may help identify the most important events that affect patients’ safety, most prominent visual and behavioural features of such events, etc.
